Weddings

Our beautiful church is the perfect location for your big day!

There are some things about a church wedding that you just can’t get anywhere else. A church wedding includes God, and we believe that the promises made in church will help you to look to him for help and guidance, and will strengthen your marriage in the years to come. God’s blessing is the most important element for many couples, whatever their beliefs, and we are pleased to offer this within the framework of the Church of England wedding service.

Why Marry in Church?
The Vicar has a very particular role to play in your wedding. They can blend ancient tradition and modern experience in the service, to make your wedding personal, memorable, meaningful, and beautiful, far more than just a legal ceremony. We have several organists, each of whom can play the traditional wedding music (such as Wagner’s Bridal Chorus, and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March), or you can have contemporary music played over our sound system. And if you’d like church bells to welcome your guests and to help you celebrate your special day, we have a team of bell ringers!

Wedding Blessings

If you have been married in a civil ceremony, and would now like a service of blessing in church with friends and family, there are a variety of options that we can offer you.
